Haircuts for the Girls

I needed a haircut, and I promised Morgan that once school was out she could get hers cut too.  I also wanted Lindey's hair cut to get rid of all her baby fine, different lengths, and unruly hair. We made appointments with Whitney, and she got all of us cut.  The girl's hair turned out so cute!  I especially love Lindey's.  So much better than the mess it used to be!

Haircut

Aaaaagggghhh! She did it AGAIN.  Twice in one year--is that fair?  When she cut her hair in April I put away all the scissors so that Eli or Morgan had to ask for them.  For some reason, Eli had found a pair that didn't get put away and was cutting some paper in the scrapbook room while I worked.  Lindey was in there with us and was putting stickers on paper.  She left a short time later, and I noticed she was gone.  I went to find her and walked into the family room just as she snipped off her bangs--TO THE SCALP!  I think I scared her to death when I screamed, "Noooooo Lindey!!" Lol

This little girl knew she was in trouble.  She was put on a timeout in the kitchen while I talked to her. She wouldn't look at me the whole time I was talking to her, and kept turning her head away.  I just kept thinking, "how am I going to fix this??? She cut her bangs to the scalp!"

I snapped several pictures trying to get one that had a good up close shot of her new do.  She decided she'd had enough of that and grabbed two bowls that were on the counter and put them on her head.  Picture time was over! Lol  She was done with that.  I decided to cut another row of bangs just back from where her bangs were.  It covered up the mess, sort of. :)  Hopefully this will be the last time she cuts her own hair! Knock on wood!

It happened!

Lindey got a hold of a pair of scissors.  She cut her own hair. Waaahhh! Sniff, sniff. :( It was finally getting long enough to do a few things with.  I had to trim the back to make it all match.  I didn't get a picture of it because I didn't notice until later, but she also cut her hair on the side right above her ear, almost to the scalp.  Not much you can do to fix that one!  Now to go hide all the scissors.....May 3, 2013

Haircuts

Morgan has been wanting to grow her bangs out and cut her hair off since the beginning of second grade.  I told her she couldn't until the school year was over and was planning on getting her an appointment at the beginning of the summer.  With all that happened, Morgan's haircut didn't. :)  We finally got around to having it done the 2nd of August.  We took before and after pictures with our nice camera, but something happened to the card when we went to unload it and we lost a month and a half of pictures.  So, I was glad I had my other camera in the diaperbag and my friend Kristen was there to take pictures for me.  Here is a pretty good before of how long Morgan's hair was.

Here is how short she went.  Just to her shoulders.  Now her bangs can grow out to match.  (Now that her hair is cut they're halfway there!)

I started to lose my hair either from the estrogen I am now on, the trauma that happened, or low Vitamin D levels that were found.  It was rather disturbing to see so much hair coming out, so I decided that if my hair was a lot shorter that maybe it wouldn't be so unsettling to me and wouldn't look like so much. (ha ha, it wasn't.)  This is as close to a before picture of me as I have.  My hair was to the middle of my back, maybe a little longer. I think I cut off 8-10 inches and Morgan's was about the same.  Kristen kept saying she couldn't believe I actually did it. It's just hair, it'll grow back. :)

We were laughing that as Whitney was cutting our hair, there was so much of it on the floor that she was slip-sliding around!  Kristen had to take a picture of all the hair on the floor.  Hard to believe it was only from two of us! :)

I got mine cut into an A-line and I really like it.  I'll probally keep it this way until my little twiggers that are growing back are caught up to the rest of it.  Then, I'll go from there.

Here is my after!  I haven't had my hair this short since I can't remember when! lol  It's been at least 5 years.

Glad we finally got Morgan's haircut done.  She's been wanting to do that for a while.  Sorry you had to wait so long, sweetheart, but you sure look cute!  Thanks for letting me tag along!

Got a haircut

I got my hair cut this morning.  I was going to take a before picture, but forgot, so the after will have to do.  I had about 3 inches taken off and a few long layers put in.  I really like it.  Thanks to Micah, my little photographer for taking this picture for me.  :)  He was more than willing!
