My Mom and Dad took our 3 oldest children with them down to St. George area for the annual Willard Family Reunion (My Mom's family) July 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Morgan came home with a tadpole in a jar she had caught. We had this little fish tank that we put him in, not expecting him to live very long. My mom was surprised he survived the car ride in his jar! It was kind of fun to see him grow. This is right after she brought him home. She named him Mo. The picture is kind of bad, but you can make out his long tail.
Pretty soon he had grown arms and legs. His tail was shorter, but was still there.Morgan woke up one morning to find his tail had fallen off and he had climbed to the top of the fish tank out of the water. Morgan kept calling Grandma with updates of how her tadpole was doing. Grandma was impressed that it was still alive and that she was able to watch it go from a tadpole to a frog.
After we took this picture, we went to the school to help John ready his classroom for the upcoming school year. We were gone several hours, and when we returned Mo had croaked. We're not sure what happened, but Morgan was very sad. We had a little moment of silence for Mo as he was being flushed. Thanks for a few fun weeks Mo--glad we got to watch your progress!
