Grandma's Birthday/Easter Party

John's mother's birthday is in April, so the entire family gets together to celebrate.  Grandma always has way too much planned to spoil the kids.  They don't seem to mind. :)  The first thing we did was have an Easter Egg hunt.  It was pretty cool and quite windy, but the kids enjoyed it anyways.

Grandma's next activity was the pool hunt.  She hid all sorts of treasures in shredded paper.  This is the second year she has done this, and it's a big hit with the kids.

We took a break after the pool hunt to go out to lunch/dinner for Mom's birthday.  We sang to her and she opened gifts, then headed to the West Winds.  After lunch, Grandma and Grandpa did a money hunt on the lawn.  (They threw out a bunch of quarters and nickles, and let the kids find them.)  Zander was the big winner in our family for this activity.  He picked up $4.95!  He was pretty excited. :)  The other kids were able to pick up two or three dollars themselves.

The final activity of the day was a monster hunt.  Grandma found these little dragons or lizards that were filled with Jelly beans, and when you pushed their sides in, their tongues would pop out.  The kids (and adults) had great fun with these!

Happy Birthday Grandma!
