Goodbye Green River!

After we came home from our vacation, it was time to be serious about packing up and moving.  July 17th was our official moving day.  We couldn't leave Green River without stopping by and saying goodbye to some of our best friends!  Lindey, Eli and I walked down the alley to see the Parsons.  They were swimming in their pool, but let us take a few pictures with them.
L to R: Eli, Allie, Lindey, Brailie, and Treyson. We sure are going to miss these guys!

My crafty friend, Heather.  I am going to miss our late night, put the kids in bed and get together to be creative times.  I love this lady.

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch, we decided to take a few parting pictures.
Sad to be going!  Still kind of hard to believe that we are really moving.  Everything was so comfortable in Green River!

Final family picture on the front steps. The kids insisted that our newt be in the picture with us--after all, he is part of the family too!

"Everyone wave goodbye!"

Our new Home in Orangeville

On July 7th, 2014 we signed on our new home in Orangeville.  We took a few car selfies on the way to the Title Company in Price.

And, it's now ours!! We are so excited to begin this new chapter in our lives.

Now just to move it all...:/

Father/Son Basketball

We worked in John's classroom for a while and brought a load of stuff from Green River over.  Afterwards we visited with Suzette and Wayne's family.  Wayne and John played basketball against Jason and Ian.  It was quite entertaining to watch.

Of course, the men won the boys, but it was all in good fun.

Moving/Selling Furniture

When we decided to move, we also decided that we weren't going to take our old furniture with us.  We'd had it for many years, and the six kids have taken their toll on it.  We sold our couch, love seat, and recliner.  As soon as they were moved out of the house, the kids went and got their chairs.  It made me laugh that every little chair we owned was lined up along the wall.
I've been packing the things that I know we won't need before we move.  The boxes sure fill and stack up a lot quicker than you think they will!

Moving Mr. Hughes

We spent the afternoon of May 27th, 2014 getting John's classroom loaded on John's Dad's Trailer.  We had a lot of help from the kids, Melinda, TJ and Rad, and John's Parents. Most of it fit on the trailer for Round 1 of the move. Whew!

John's Classroom

Well, it's official...John's classroom is packed up and ready for the big move! We spent the day getting the last of it in boxes.  Now to get it to Orangeville!

House for Sale!

After nine years of living in Green River, we decided it was time to put our house on the market and move our family.  We knew it could take a while to sell, so we decided to put it on the market sooner rather than wait for a job offer to come.  Huge leap of faith, but we know it is right for our family.  We met with a realtor (Madelaine Nyeffler) with Trails End Realty on April 1st, and within a few days had a sign up in our yard.  We knew she was meant to be our realtor.  She was the only LDS realtor in their office, she is a retired school teacher, loves musicals, and was able to meet us on the day we were going to be in Price. Things couldn't have worked out more perfectly.
