4th of July

Happy Independance Day! :)  For the second or third year in a row, we made waffles for breakfast with blueberries, strawberries and cool whip.  Yummy!

For dinner we had a barbeque.  We wanted to do something fun for the kids, so we made Red, White and Blue drinks.  They turned out pretty cool, and we amazed the kids which was the best part!
We also made a kickball croquet game.  The kids had fun with it.

After we took most of the hoops out of the lawn from the croquet game, it turned into soccor.
We had yummy brownies and Morgan decorated Sugar Cookies!
She did a pretty great job!  Thanks, sis! :)

Our annual family 4th of July photo in our flag t-shirts. Turned out great. :)
When it got dark, we headed to the Gun Range for Fireworks.
The kids enjoyed throwing poppers from Grandma and watching the fireworks being set off all around us.

We gave the kids glowsticks, and John's mom gave them Red, White and Blue flashing rings.
My honey and I. :)

We were parked by the Brady family.  Our boys were all over helping them light fireworks.  Little pyros! :)

A family near us even shared their sparklers.

After the fireworks, we headed home.  Eli didn't even make it to his bed before falling asleep. :)

What a fun day we had!  Happy 4th of July!

4th of July

Our 4th of July started with breakfast!  Ian and Morgan wanted to surprise John and I by making breakfast.  They thought we were still gone walking (I was on my treadmill, and John was out back watering the lawn.)  They decided it was best NOT to turn on the stove and wait for us. They eventually found John and together they made red, white, and blue pancakes! (And put them in the shape of a flag.)  It was delicious!  Thanks, kids!

Morgan spent the day or two before the 4th making table decorations for our barbeque.  She did a great job! :) Suzy was here this year with her family, so we had a bit bigger crowd at our house.  It was fun!
These next few were taken out at the gun range while we were waiting for fireworks to start.

Zander was so excited that Grandma hooked them up with Poppers.  These are always a favorite with our kiddos.

Our cute Lindey girl.

When Morgan was asked to smile so I could take her picture, this is what I got:

Okay, that's better. :)
Eli was very intent on listening to John explain how the poppers work.

John's mom had a bunch of fireworks we set off before the city started theirs.

Micah had fun with his poppers.
This picture turned out pretty cool of Micah and Zander watching the fireworks.

The whole gang watching the show.  We had quite the time.  The kids were very entertained.  Between the poppers, Grandma's fireworks, those around us who brought their own, and the city fireworks, it was fantastic!  We had a great 4th of July!

4th of July

While I was in the hospital, John's sister bought us our annual 4th of July t-shirts.  Thanks Paula!  We took our annual photo shoot.  We took quite a few actually, and these are the best ones we got. Just the kids.

Our family.
The boys.
The girls. (Finally doesn't have to be alone.  She doesn't look excited to have a sister, does she?)
We had to go to Price to pick up a prescription for me after our little jaunt to the hospital on the 1st, we called the morning of the 4th to find out test results and had quite the time trying to get a hold of anyone to tell me!  Anyways, we were almost to Price and decided that since we were only a half hour from Suzy's family to go visit for the day.  We had a great time visiting, and still made it home in time to do fireworks with Thomas' family and Grandma and Grandpa Hughes.
The kids loved playing with the poppers that Grandma bought.
I love how this picture of Eli turned out.  He was so funny--had to sit in his own chair and was just enthralled with the fireworks.  It was a great day!  Happy Independance Day America! :)
