Morgan's 8th Birthday

For Morgan's birthday this year, she invited Grandma and Grandpa Hughes for dinner  (Chicken Fettucini)and a little later Uncle Thomas and Aunt Shlisa came with thier family for a few minutes to have cake and ice cream.  Uncle Thomas' family gave her this journal to write in.

Grandma Hughes gave her some money to buy some clothes with.  She was so excited that there were nightgowns in the store.  She loves them, and you don't see them too often.  She also got a few pairs of pants, some new shirts, and 3 pairs of shoes.  Gotta love clearance items!

Aunt Nichole sent her this CTR towel to use when she gets baptized.  She was very excited about it, and wished Aunt Nichole could come all the way from Pennsylvania to be with her when she was baptized.  She loved it and was glad that at least part of Aunt Nichole could be there. :)

Morgan is so excited about her new comforter for her bed.  Now we can paint her room PURPLE! :)  She's been wanting to do it for some time, but Mom wasn't into the idea of purple walls and a green and pink bedspread!

Morgan and her mess.  She looks pretty happy to me! LOL (Eli was a pretty big helper in making this mess--he too was quite happy about it.)

Morgan had to go change into her nightgown before we did cake and ice cream.  (Her littlest pet shop vehicle was also a big hit.  I think it was the first thing she played with!)

 

Grandma and Grandpa got her a new pink coat.  She wore her last one this color beyond recognition of pink.  Mom couldn't get it clean anymore.  I think it will be well loved.

Morgan wanteda big number 8 for her cake this year (Easy year for Mom!)

She also asked if she could have her very own mini cake. (Another easy request--I just used the insides of the big number 8!)

She blew out all the candles in one breath.  Hope your wishes come true!  Happy birthday sweetheart!
