Free Fishing Day

The Wildlife Division sponsored a free fishing day at the Green River State Park.  The cub scouts reserved a spot at 8:00am for the boys.  The wildlife division provided all the bait, rods and reels so everyone could participate.  Ian wasn't having any of that--he wanted to take his own pole.  He was so excited he had a chance to use his new fishing pole that Grandma and Grandpa Hughes had given him for his birthday.  John took him down this morning and helped him get all set up.  John couldn't stay the entire time because he had a study session scheduled with Ms. Durrant to work on a master's class presentation they have to do, so Grandpa Hughes went down about 10:00am and relieved John.  John snapped a few pictures before he left of one happy little boy!

  2. Nope, no fish. :) I posted this after John got home and before Ian made it back, so at the time, I didn't know. The kids on either side of him caught fish, so he was kind of bummed, but he still had fun. He came home with quite the mess in his fishing line that I get to untangle when I get a free minute. The joys of being a mother!
