Pinewood Derby

Random picture of Ian with Dochia, and not a great one at that, but this was the first time he held her and she didn't cry! LOL
The Pinewood Derby was held on April 29th.  There were some fun activities for the kids to do while everyone was weighing in their cars.  They got to race little pull-back cars on a track against their friends.

Zander wanted flames on his car this year.  We even made one of the weights look like the driver of the car.  He thought that was pretty stinkin' cool.

After all was said and done, Zander came in second place!  He was thrilled!  This means he gets to go to Moab and race at District.  Wahoo!  Great job buddy! :)

Babysitting Dochia

I started babysitting for Mrs. Hunt (Micah's first grade teacher) this year.  Eli and Lindey are in love with this little girl. They love to help me tend her.
Lindey asked if she could feel Dochia all by herself.  She was pretty excited about it! (9-16-13)

Eli drew this picture of Dochia and asked me to write her name.  After I was done, he looked at it and said, "That sure is a big name for such a little girl!" (11-8-12)

Eli says the silliest things when it comes to Dochia.  This day he was insistent that she wanted her picture taken with him before she went home. (12-12-13)

Super Dochia

Eli is a crazy boy.  I began babysitting for my friend, Pam, in August when school started.  She teaches 1st grade.  (She is Micah's teacher.) On September 17th, I had laid Dochia down in the living room to change her diaper, left her there so I could throw the diaper away in the kitchen, and when I got back to the living room, this is what I found:
Dochia with a Superman cape on.  I wasn't gone more than 20 seconds.  That boy works fast! lol Eli wasn't in the room, but when I asked him about it. He laid down next her with a cape of his own, and said, "She's Super Docia!  It looks like she is flying! I'm flying with her."

I love you, Super Eli.  You sure do keep me on my toes! :)

Lindey and Dochia

My friend, Pam, has 3 boys, ages 14, 12, and 7, and finally had a little girl.  We went to her baby shower and jumped at the chance to hold Baby Dochia. As I was holding her, Lindey climbed on the couch next to me and then grabbed Dochia and pulled her onto her lap.  Every time I tried to move her, Lindey would pull her back onto her lap.
After the shower, we visited John's parents.  Can we say Princess!  We were laughing that she climbed on the couch behind me and made herself comfortable. lol
