"Mom, I want to go out of town."

"We were just out of town yesterday." (I had a doctor's appointment.)

"No Mom, by myself!"

"Why do you want to go out of town by yourself?"

"Ummm...to get a laser light like Ian's.  Then I would come back."

"Oh.  And how are you going to get out of town by yourself?"

"I'll take the train!" (Slight pause and then...)
"Maybe I'll wait until I'm older."
