Winter Recital

Monday the 20th was our Winter Piano and Voice Recital.  It was a lot of fun as most of the kids played or sang Christmas songs.  Very festive!  I was able to play a few duets with the kids as well.  I always enjoy doing that--it brings back memories of playing with my siblings. :) I'm glad I have a husband who plays a little bit so we can play duets together also.  Ian and Morgan are two of my piano students and enjoyed playing two songs each at the recital. (A duet with me and a solo.)  It was fun for me to watch them perform.  All of our students did an excellent job.
Ian playing "We Three Kings".  (Little stinker crossed his feet!)
Morgan playing "Silent Night".

John and I with all 10 of our students. :) I teach 9 of them piano, and John does voice with 4 of them. (3 of them do double duty and take both!)
These are the ornaments I made for our students for Christmas this year. (we also gave them a candy cane.) I copied Christmas sheet music, die cut stars and folded them like a barn star so they were 3-D.  I inked them a little bit, put them on a fancy ornament hanger and added a bit of ribbon.  They turned out really cool!  It's not much, but I think they liked them.

  1. I really like the ornaments. Those turned out really nice. Made me smile about Ian's feet. You are such a piano teacher. :)
