Bountiful Baskets made it to Green River! We are so excited that this finally is happening (we started the whole process in July!). Our truck arrived about 20 minutes ahead of schedule, and that was even after he said that he got lost! LOL He was kind enough to wait until we had some more help arrive to unload the truck.
We spread out our produce before seperating it into the baskets. Fruits in one pile, vegetables in another.
Heather and I are giving our volunteers a quick run-down of what needs to happen and how we are going to sort the produce. We are glad that so many showed up to help. With our husbands, I think we had 8 volunteers! Thanks, guys!
All our hard work getting this going is paying off. Our baskets looked great all loaded up with produce! We ended up with 24 participants. We had a lot of wonderful comments from excited people about this. Heather and I are just grateful this day finally made it. :)
In our baskets this week we recieved, Gala Apples, Grapes, Strawberries, Bananas, Plums and a Cantaloupe for fruit, and for vegetables, Lettuce, Red Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Cauliflower, and Artichokes.
We are glad we had so many participate, and are even more happy that we got a good basket to keep people excited about it. Many ordered extras as well (bread, peaches, italian packs, granola, etc.). Yea for Bountiful Baskets!
Hooray!! Your baskets look so amazing, I wish that I could get one. Seriously all that stuff looks amazing. :) Great work.
