We spent Thursday catching up with some friends from our CEU days. Ben and Shawna just live on the other side of the district and we see them from time to time, but never get together to do anything. They called us up and wanted to come visit to see the Geyser and just hang out. So, we did!
The geyser was going off when we got there. It didn't go off for very long, or go very high, but it was fun to see.

Between us we have 9 kids! Shawna said Ben commented after they left that it felt just like old times at SUU (we were together at school there also, and had our two oldest--Ian and Becca) only with more kids! It's true! :) |

Of course you have to look into the pipe after all the water gets sucked back down to the underground cavern. Not much to see besides dark. |

We let the kids do a little exploring... |
|
and climbing. |

Interesting how the sulfer in the water turns the rock this yellow-orange color. It's pretty and has cool ripples in it! |

Ben and Shawna knew of a Geo Cashe close to the geyser so we went and found it. |
After we were finished at Crystal Geyser, we headed to the city park for a picnic lunch and more play time.
It was a fun day and we decided that since we live so close we need to not wait as long to get together again. The kids hit it off, and can't wait to play together again. I see a game night in our future! :)
