All done for now!

On Friday I decided to get the paint brush and roller out again. I painted the hallways by the bedrooms. It didn't take me as long as I thought it would (only 7 hours), and my 5 gallon bucket of paint we bought to do all the tan (Walnut Wash) held out with 2 quarts left over! I was very glad we didn't have to buy more paint, and I'm even more glad that the white walls are all gone!! All I have left is the 2 kid's bedrooms, and since I'm not sure what I'm going to do in them, I'll be taking a break from painting for a while. :) Yea! (Although, looking at their bedrooms, they REALLY need to be painted. I'm really not a fan of white flat paint that you can't wash.)

See this cubby above the door? It's pretty deep, and I wasn't thinking (just ready to be done trimming), so I painted above the door, and then realized that I still needed to trim out the cubby above it. LOL Let's just say that my shirt got pretty messy, and I had to redo above the door. John was wondering what happened to my shirt when he came home and saw me! (He had been working in his classroom at the school.)
Can I just say that that is a whole lot of wall?!? At least most of it was rolling, so it didn't take long to trim out. :)

Yea! I get to start rolling. I think this was the most rolling I had to do out of any room in our house. Not much but doorways to trim around in the halls. The cupboards by the laundry weren't even that bad to do.
Ahh, that's much better (although with the horrible lighting in the hallway, you can't tell they are painted. LOL)

When I got up on Saturday morning, and started looking at the walls, I discovered that I didn't do a very good job getting in all the grooves of the texture. Probally had a lot to do with the lighting and partly with not wanting to run out of paint! So, I spent another half hour or so doing touchups. Still not sure I got them all, so don't look too closely if you come to visit! :)

Now that I'm done painting, I need to gear up for Melon days! Be on the lookout for cute craft projects that I'm sure I'll post on! :)
