Family Pictures 2013

I wanted family pictures taken before the weather turned cold, and before I had surgery, again.  I wanted the kids updated pictures on the wall in my hospital room, and I didn't know how well I'd be feeling after surgery to take pictures.  I didn't want it to get too cold before we were able to get them done, so I talked to Jenni and worked it out a little earlier than we usually have them done.  She did not disappoint 

this year, either.  She is amazing! Jenni also asked if it would be okay for our friend, Taffee, to come take pictures with her--she is getting into photography and wanted to practice.  I was excited about that!  Since it was kind of short notice, I rummaged through our closets and found outfits that would go together.  I think I finally pulled everything together an hour before we left to take pictures.  Whew! Lol  We went out to Taffee's family's farm.  The light was so great and it was fun to be out in the hay fields. Enjoy!

We were across the road taking pictures and Jenni had put these props down by the side of the road.  When we turned around, Zander was casually sitting there, waiting his turn.  He's so funny!

Family Pictures 2012

My friend and neighbor, Jenni, took our pictures again this year.  She does such an amazing job!  She had the perfect little spot picked out for us.  It was only a couple of minutes from our home.  The bright yellow fall leaves that perfectly framed the road were awesome! It was kind of a last minute happening--I had mentioned it to Jenni a few weeks before, but never followed up with her.  She called me up one day and asked if we could go that afternoon.  Aaggghh!  I hadn't picked out outfits, we had lessons that afternoon, and John and I had a Relief Society activity we were presenting at that evening, so I told her it wouldn't work out.  We tried to find another date, but there just wasn't one before later the next week.  Jenni was worried that the leaves would all have fallen before we got pictures taken, but we decided to just go with it.  After thinking about it, and deliberating back and forth, I decided that it would make for a super crazy busy afternoon, but it would be done.  I called Jenni back and we decided that 4:30pm would be a great time to meet and take pictures.  I rearranged lessons, and called and informed John (I don't think he was too happy with me), and then I called my sister, Nichole.  lol  She helped me decide on outfits, and we went for it.  It made for a crazy busy afternoon, but it was worth it.  Thanks Jenni!  And for the rest of you...enjoy! :)
