Joe's Valley

We decided to go exploring our new surroundings and took a drive up the canyon to Joe's Valley.
We stopped at an overlook and let the kids explore.
Then we took a walk down to the reservoir and let the kids throw rocks in.
Hi Daddy and Lindey!

Zander found a piece of fishing line and a bauble and decided to go fishing.

Ian was sure he could get this big rock to skip--it was flat after all!

Eli spent his time batting rocks into the water.  He was pretty crazy!  We had to dodge a few times. Lol
After we drove back down the mountain we took the kids to Maverik for a treat and to play at the park by the Stake Center in Castle Dale.

I sure love my kids! Thanks for the fun evening family!

Big Horn Sheep

On Saturday, December 8th, John's parents called us up and wanted to take us for a ride out to see the Big Horn Sheep.  We saw four of them on our way out to the spot Mom and Dad had seen a whole herd two days before.  When we got out there, there weren't any and Mom was worried that we wouldn't see any more.  But, a little further on and we found a whole bunch!  The kids loved seeing them.  I had no idea that we had some living so close to home! John got some pretty good pictures of them. :) Thanks for taking out to see them!

At the Beach

We took Mr. Z to the beach the last time he was here. We needed to get out of the house for a while, and he'd never been, so it was a fun trip.  The kids quite enjoyed it too.  We had fun taking some pictures.
The kids loved walking on this ginormous tree that had fallen over.
Lindey and her Mama.  Aren't we cute?

Love you too, hon. :)
Morgan drawing designs in the sand.
Our shadows.  Kind of a fun idea!

Lots of fun trees to climb on, and great for taking pictures with!

Micah said he was an old man with a cane.  John got this picture of him walking with his short little stick.
Lindey fell asleep on the way home--it was a good outing!

The Golden Ratio

We have a new art sculpture in town.  It is called the Golden Ratio.  John has a lot more information about it on his blog with links to other places, so if you want to know more go HERE to check it out.  It's pretty cool.  Me, on the other hand, just wanted to document that last Sunday we took a drive up to see it.  I got some fun pictures of the kids climbing on it.  It was nice to get out of the house for a few minutes, even if it was cold and windy.
John helping Ian up to the next level.
This is the only picture I got with Micah in it...proof he was there.  That boy sure doesn't stay in one place very long--he was too busy exploring.
Morgan is always so eager to pose for me. LOL
I love this picture. :)
Looking up from the base.  I think the sculpture is four stories tall.
The kids were pretty impressed we could see our house from up there, but not the sculpture from our house.  It's hiding behind the houses across the street from us, the trees, and the hill in front of where the sculpture is.  (Our house is the one with the blue shutters, it looks much  closer in the picture than up on the hill--have I mentioned that I love the zoom on my new camera??)
Another fun outing!
